8 Most Important Differences between Village Life and City Life


There is always a wide difference in Village life and City life, both serve functional purpose in their own way. There is a wide difference in their learning and culture, a wide gap between the two in the matter of amenities.
Here is some differences between Village Life and City Life:

Village Life:

1. Village people has plain and simple life, there is no din and bustle of city. Everything is calm and quite.
2. People are in direct touch with nature, their all the time passes in looking after fields and cattle.
3. They devote their most of the time in field work and prayer to praise of god.
4. They get fresh, pure and unadulterated food grains, fruits, vegetables and milk products.
5. There are disadvantages too like., no good doctors, many people die because of not getting proper treatment.
6. Their literacy percentage is low, too many people are still illiterate.
7. Many people are still remain superstitious.
8. They quarrel among themselves and waste their time in idle gossip.


City Life:

1. City people has a glamour and very fascinating life.
2. There are magnificent multi-stories building, shopping malls, broad roads, multiplexes, etc.
3. Their dressing is different, their is difference in habits and manners also, their routine of daily life is different.
4.  People spend their evening time in a park, a shopping mall, a library, etc.
5. Their literacy rate is higher, most of them are well educated and qualified.
6. People has many facilities like., good hospitals and good doctors for their treatment, multiplexes, libraries, etc.
7. There are disadvantages too in city life., polluted air, traffic problem, adulterated milk products, vegetables and fruits.   
8. People loses their soul in their busy schedule and turns into like machine, they even don't have time to spend with loved one's.

Mukerian, The Urban Village





Mukerian is a biggest municipal council city of Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. It is in center part of the Punjab which connected to all the Urban cities. Mukerian city with the population of 129889 has an higher literacy rate of 77% than the national average of 59.5%. 
The majority of population is employed in agriculture and are serving in Indian Defence forces. Mukerian city is a permanent base of Indian Armed Forces.




Point Of Interests: 

1. Mukerian Hydel Project is one of the biggest irrigation projects in India. 
2. The Pong Dam across river Beas is about 35km from Mukerian.
3. A Lord Shiva natural Shivling Temple is in the village of Mirthal, about 20km from Mukerian city. 
4. The city is not only famous for its food, but also famous for its rich market for women shops and jewelry shops. 
5. Mukerian is in the centre part of the Punjab and connected to all National and State Highways, around 450km from Delhi and 100km from Amritsar.

Mukerian also has a large number of Poplar Tree. Polar Tree are also known as genus Populus. The name Populus refers to the fact that the trees were often planted around public meeting places in roman times. 
Thw wood of Poplars is so soft and is mostly used to make cardboard boxes, crates, and paper. The buds of the balm of Gilead Poplar are used to make an ointment.
